Studio Series: Oerba Dia Vanille (Portrait)by =LoneWolf117

Edit: 10/12 Vanille got another new render.

Underneath her soft complexion and cheerful attitude, she's a complex character. Her emotionally damaged inner self occasionally breaks that happy facade. I wanted my render to show those qualities because Vanille is a beautiful but fragile orange flower.

My fourth image in what will be group of images I'm calling: Studio Series. I'm rendering out characters in HD using 3dsMax 2012 and a custom Mental Ray setup. The images are designed to look like the characters showed up to a photoshoot.

What a delightful character. I am not familiar with Cosplay but it really does not matter.
First I would like to mention the color of her hair. Pink is a cute color. I love the expression on her face. Her eyes seem to be at a gaze and it helps that her hand is on her cheek. This means she is in thought. The color of her skin is perfect as she is a young girl.
Originality is very good. I noticed the colorful blue & tan necklaces she has about her. Impact is excellent. She is shaded very well with a slight light to her nose to bring it's thinness out.
Technique is very good. The pony tail with its tiny loose strands makes this character a bit more real.
Over all impact of this girl is an A+. Artistry on her is very
good and I was pleased to see such craftsmanship. Well done

Okay, it's been a long time since I written a critique. Again, I have to say that English is not my native language so sorry if I made any mistakes.
So, let's begin : It's a beautiful render. The materials settings are just perfect. And look at her skin ! Doesn't it looks amazingly soft ? Don't you want to touch it ? The eyes are so amazing too, they are shinning. Her accessories are also well made. The pink-orange gradient gives the picture a soft and warm atmosphere. And the expressions suit the character so much, like it's written in the description.
It's an excellent render, by a master of 3DSMax obviously.
